Hello, my name is Dinah, and welcome to Core Connections Counselling.

I am a professionally qualified BA (Hons) Integrative counsellor, and a registered member of the BACP, currently working in private practice and the education sector. I offer counselling to both young people 11 to 18 years and adults 18 years and upwards.

Counselling is a safe place where you come to feel seen, heard, and accepted regardless of your life circumstances. We all need a space where we feel encouraged and empowered to talk about the things that matter to us.

Very early in life, I discovered I had a passion for helping people and worked in various job roles that allowed me to be of some support to others until I decided to seek a career in counselling full-time.

Life can seem like an emotional rollercoaster, one minute we can feel really high and the next we feel really low, and managing those emotions can often be difficult and draining, especially when doing so alone.

From personal experience, I know what this feels like and have sought support from my own therapist.

You might be seeking counselling because you feel stuck in your past or even uncertain about your future. You may have adopted unhelpful behaviors, be experiencing anxiety or depression, carrying unresolved trauma, and struggling in your relationships.

Whatever your story is, I am here to provide you with your own space, where you can be vulnerable without judgment, free to explore your world and what is happening in it. I will walk with you as you discover and build a secure sense of self that supports you through challenging moments and life going forward.

This means working with you to find a way to understand your thoughts, feelings, actions, and experiences. Working through your problems and moving towards your goals and a happier & healthier you.

My role is to give you time to help you feel empowered to gain acceptance with problems and to create positive, long lasting change.

Deep down, at the core of our being, we all have a longing for wholeness.
